Dini Petty in Her Own Words:
"I began my life in broadcast media flying a Pink Helicopter while reporting on traffic for CKEY Radio. After 5,000 hours of flying time and some 30,000 traffic reports ( six per hour) which included,"Traffic northbound on the Parkway is stop and go " or, Traffic Westbound on the Gardiner is stop and go" I knew it was time move on. I called Moses Znaimer and told him he should hire me, and fortunately he did. I joined CITY-TV and was a part of the original CityPulse News team. We grew from being a local joke to one of the most successful franchises in Canadian television history. I co-hosted the 6:00 news with Gord Martineau and then anchored the 5:00 o'clock evening news while also hosting CITY-Line. I produced several award winning documentaries and garnered several nominations and awards for both interviewing and my documentary work. I moved to CTV to work at the national level and spent 10 years hosting The Dini Petty Show. In all, I've interviewed some twenty thousand people on every topic imaginable, and a few unimaginable moments. I've posted a few of my favourites on YouTube/Dini Petty: Red Skelton, Omar Sheriff, Sarah The Duchess of York, Johnny Cochran and Sir George Martin .
Over the past decade, I've focused my attention on public speaking with hundreds of engagements across Canada and in the US. A former journalist and content strategist for brands like ELLE and Walmart, Cat now works with speakers, experts, coaches and thought leaders as a book coach and editor, helping them to share their story and knowledge so they can inspire, educate, motivate and empower others.
